Plundered iPhone Pics Up

What is the world coming to when your iPhone get stolen and you to see pictures of others enjoying your vacation? A lady was on a Disney Cruise when she noticed her iPhone was missing, which in itself is very distressing.

But wait, then she noticed photos taken with the iPhone uploading to her iCloud account using an app named Photostream. So she took the photos and uploaded them to her Facebook account and with public with them.

Boy, I wouldn't want to be "that guy". You can read the whole story here. The man in the pictures is a believed to be Disney crew member, Disney is investigating and you can read that story here.

To slightly change the subject what can you do if your iPhone is stolen? Other than the usual report to police, hope the thief uploads pictures so you can track it down easier, is to activate/configure the MobileMe. This technology allows you to lock your phone, wipe the contents off, or leave a message on the screen but act quickly the MobileMe service ends June 30, 2012. It's moving to the Cloud too! Here's the link to the support message moving to iCloud

You can get The Find My iPhone App through iTunes it's also available for iPad, iTouch and the Mac.

My son has his iPhone 4 stolen but sadly he didn't configure MobileMe he thought it was automatic so he had to get a new phone bummer.
